As the owner's project manager for the construction of a home in the Heritage Estates, I worked with Clean Power Resources on the installation of a 50kW photovoltaic array. Vicki and Dennis were extremely knowledgeable and effective through all stages of the project. They were hands-on throughout the whole process from the initial calculations regarding system size, through the myriad of forms and requirements during the application period, to the installation, until the final energizing of the system.

At the time, it was one of the first arrays in this area and one of the largest installations in [our power provider] territory. This posed a series of other challenges and Clean Power offered a large amount of assistance in dealing with all of the various entities and government regulations. In addition, Clean Power Resources also installed a 45 kW back-up power generator to the residence. They assisted in the design...and integration issues with the project's electrician and contractor.

In mid-2009, we decided to install a solar energy system at our residence... We initially contacted several San Diego area vendors, including those operating out of Costco. We ultimately selected Dennis and Clean Power Resources for several reasons:

• His association with Buck Electric both facilitated the electrical panel work required, as well as provides assurance of on-going service and support.
• He was local to our community and provided a high quality product at a competitive price.

Dear Clean Power Resources Inc.

When we decided to go solar we obtained several bids. The most attractive for several reasons was from Clean Power Resources. When the work started Clean Power’s people showed up on time, their work was done in a workman-like fashion and at the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves. Most importantly, the solar electric system is performing superbly: Our goal was to reduce our electricity purchase from SDG&E by 50%. For the seven billing periods of the prior year we paid $1,710 for electricity, for these same seven billing periods in 2009 we paid $697. That’s a 60% savings in electricity cost.

We had Clean Power Resources Inc. (CPRI) install a rooftop solar system just over three years ago. We were very pleased with the service during the installation... they had good people, who did an excellent job doing exactly what they said they would. But we have been even more impressed with the performance of the system and the service we have received from CPRI since the installation was completed. Our highest annual electric bill since the installation was last year (must have been a bit warmer, and required more air conditioning) when our (again, ANNUAL) bill was $100. The display in the inverter failed a few months after installation; I called Dennis to ask about it, and he said he would take care of it. When I got home from work a couple of days later he had replaced the display, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I would recommend CPRI and Dennis without reservation. Singing Our Praises:

During the summer of '09 my wife and I got serious about going solar for our electrical power needs, and we began shopping for a solar company. That quickly led us to two "finalists" for the installation, of which Clean Power was one. Both of those companies seemed excellent. The estimates were similar, and past clients of the companies were very positive in their reactions. It was a close call, but we chose Clean Power mainly because of Dennis Gowey's expertise and straightforwardness in describing what they would do and how much it would cost; the fact that Dennis, a principal in the company, would personally supervise the entire installation was an important factor. We also became aware that a solar installation mostly needs an electrical contractor, so we like the fact that Clean Power was actually part of Buck Electric and that Dennis's wife Vicki was an experienced electrical contractor who ran Buck Electric.

Very early in the process Dennis and Vicki came up against a difficult hurdle having to do with the placement of the solar panels in relation to our septic drain field; we are not on city sewage here at the edge of Fallbrook. The San Diego County people in the Environmental Safety Department were far from facilitative. Things became so difficult that we were ready to throw in the towel. Eventually Vicki met with someone higher up the hierarchy of that County department and was able to gain approval for something close to a perfect layout for the panels. Following that Dennis and his crew moved quickly to get the panels in and hooked up properly, so that we are supplying virtually all of our electrical power and in so timely a fashion that we qualified for both state and federal benefits. Everyone who worked on the project at our house was effective and cordial, and they always cleaned up well.

To summarize, we have had a fruitful and pleasant relationship with Vicki and Dennis of Clean Power Resources, Inc. and recommend them to anyone considering this shift to solar energy.

We live in Lake Havasu City, AZ and last June we installed solar panels on our roof. The system was 7 kW and consisted of 36 panels and a single Inverter. The entire system was designed and installed by Clean Power (928-453-0226). It was approved by the City Inspector and UniSource Electric. Clean Power did a thoroughly professional job, and answered all our questions during and after the installation. We have been saving money on our electric bill, from day one.

When Dennis first flipped the switch for our 5600 watt system, he shared the same enthusiasm that we had. We watched the meter as our system came on line with the soft humming and quiet clicking natural to the inverters. The dial on the meter began to slow down, and soon, it began to turn the other way! Dennis shared our joy as our system was actually putting electricity back to the grid instead of using it. We are so concerned with cutting cost that this has cut our SDG&E bill more that half the cost. and since then (2 years ago) we have put a well in and our bill is still low and is now about half of want it use to be.

In 2001 we were interested in getting a photovoltaic system on our house in Poway.  We did research and found many opportunities, but the field is fairly complex and there wasn't a long track record, many of the sales organizations were far away.  It was even fairly new to the local power company.  An important aspect was to find someone who we could rely on after the initial installation that was local and also knowledgeable in how these systems operate.  Our array and inverters have proven to be pretty low maintenance, but on two occasions there was a drop in power output indicating a problem somewhere.  Clean Power Resources was very effective at quickly finding the problems and negotiating with the supplier to provide repairs free of charge.  A complex problem made simple - that's what we were looking for. 
 
We all want to help out the environment for ourselves and our kids.  A solar power system is one obvious way to help with that goal in southern California.  Clean Power Resources provided us with confidence as we made the jump to this new technology.  Thanks!
